Market House Theatre Ticket Policy

All persons regardless of age must have a ticket for a performance. Children under 6 years old are not recommended for Mainstage plays. Some Mainstage plays contain adult content or complex subject matter and themes and are not suitable for children.  Contact the box office if you have any questions.  All Children regardless of age must have a ticket.

Market House Theatre Ticket Exchange policy

All exchanges are only valid for another performance of the same production.

TELEPHONE EXCHANGES
You may exchange your tickets at any time in person at the box office.  Beginning  2 weeks prior to the show  customers may exchange their tickets by telephone. *See below for exchange fee.

EXCHANGE BENEFIT
MHT has waived exchange fees for Annual Fund Donors and Season Ticket Holders who exchange tickets by telephone or in person within the approved exchange time period.
SINGLE TICKET HOLDERS
Single ticket holders may exchange their tickets by telephone (a minimum of 24 hours in advance) with a $2 handling fee.

Weather Policy
Market House Theatre does not cancel shows due to the large number of audience members holding tickets from different communities in our region. Exceptions are made in the case of Tornado warnings with emergency sirens, Emergency street closures for the downtown Paducah Area, or power failure. Should the theatre cancel a show another performance date will be announced and all tickets will be valid for that new performance date.

Severe weather exceptions

Severe weather is defined as a “Severe Weather Emergency” posted by the police, sheriff, or Disaster and Emergency Service.

At the discretion of the management depending on local road conditions the theatre may allow severe weather exchanges without a posting by local authorities. fees will be waived on the day of a show up to 3 hours before performance time (4:30 pm night performance 11:30 am matinee) on the day of a performance. Groups of 10 or more

most notify the box office 4 hours before show time (3:30 pm night performance 10:30 am matinee) to request a Severe weather emergency exception.

No ticket exchanges are allowed less than 2 1/2 hours before the scheduled performance for which a customer holds tickets.

Rentals

The Market House Theatre rents out our main stage, studio theatre and classroom for outside events.  Rentals are subject to space availability.  The cost of rentals can increase depending on time and staffing required for more elaborate events.  The basic rental fee that is available for nights and weekends are as follows:

Main Theatre- $500  Great for large meetings that last an afternoon or for evening performances of acoustic music or speakers.  Theatre seats 234. *Additional technical setup and operation is extra.

Studio Theatre -$75  an hour. ($225- all day) Great for small meetings, birthday parties or dance parties. We have the party lights to go with room to make your dance party a hit.  Theatre seats 80 with area for tables and dance parties.

Classroom – $75 an hour ($225 for all day)  Great for birthdays and meetings this upstairs room has a sky light and lots of cool set decoration on the walls.  Tables and chair setup in a fun educational space with a sky light.  Maximum capacity 75.

Looking for a weekday meeting space for your  larger group with a projection screen close to restaurants downtown!  You can rent our main stage theatre for a morning or afternoon meeting for only $125 hour.
